It’s no secret; fit and flare is the most flattering style of dress you can own. They are fitted at your natural waist, where you are most slender, and flare out over the hips, giving you a clean line. They also mimic an hourglass shape for those who maybe aren’t as concerned with hiding any problem areas but simply wish they had a little more going on in the booty department 😉 You’re probably thinking “yeah, yeah I know fit and flare is great” but sometimes when I’m shopping, as much as I carefully think about what I’m choosing as a blogger, I can forget to grab for fit and flare even though I know it’s pretty much always going to work for my body. A flared skirt adds a touch of fun and femininity to an otherwise simple dress. Imagine this dress as a shift dress or pencil dress and you see what I mean.
Another things I love about this dress (other than the fact that it’s my favorite color) is the fun cold-shoulder detail. It really stands out among ordinary cold-shoulders with the fun ruffles, and also adds another flattering element by hiding the place where your shoulders meet your arms. This is a problem area for a lot of women, and it hides it without having to have real sleeves.
Also, can we talk about these Sachin and Babi earrings?? I don’t always go for larger drop earrings, I’m more of a simple jewelry girl, but these are by far my new favorite earrings ever!! They are so elegant and you can just see how high-quality they are. They’re clip-ons too, which keep your ear lobes from hurting, which some heavier earrings will do.
