Going into your wedding planning, I believe it’s important to know the certain elements of your big day that will mean the most to you. Whether it be your band, the food, the flowers, or your dress, figuring out what you and your partner’s top priorities are will help guide you and focus your efforts when making the big decisions right off the bat. That way, when planning gets overwhelming closer to your big day (as it often does), you have a clear head and have already tackled the most important things to you as a couple.
Brent and I each had our own top priorities, but one that we both shared was the photography and the videography. For such a short day, we wanted to make sure we had beautiful imagery that we could hold onto and revisit in the years to come and remember how special and wonderful it was. We already knew who to use for photography, Nicole and Deno of N.Mickle Photography were a given seeing as Nicole is a close friend of mine and has been shooting me for years, but I had rarely used a videographer!
I discovered Andrew of Film and Flourish from an online search, and it was like it was meant to be. I checked out snippets of weddings he had filmed on his Instagram, and the beautiful work he had done completely captivated me and caused me to reach out immediately. Luckily, he had the date available (which of course is the first thing to discuss), so we decided to hop on a call to see if it would be a good match! I was so impressed by how genuine Andrew was on the phone. He didn’t just want my business, I could tell he really cares about he clients he takes on, so it was just a match made in heaven!
Once we officially hired him, Andrew scheduled a FaceTime for me and Brent so that he could get to know us better and get a feel for us as a couple as well as understand what we were looking for in terms of our wedding video. He didn’t have a cookie-cutter idea of what he would provide for us, instead he wanted to cater the video to our specific taste. He asked us things like what words we would use to describe our relationship, what aspects of his previous videos did we like the most, and what our overall wedding day vibe was going to be. This was months before the big day, and leading closer and closer to it, he kept in contact with us frequently to ask us if we had any new ideas or thoughts about what we wanted. We couldn’t have asked for a more caring person to cover one of the most important day of our lives.
What Andrew created for us is such a beautiful representation of our Charleston wedding. He captured the essence of us as a couple and the entire day overall. We are so incredibly blown away by this wonderful video, and we will cherish it forever! Thank you SO much to Andrew and his team at Film and Flourish for making our wedding video dream come true.
