Welcome to my first post!

It was a gloomy day here in Austin, but I’m glad it’s getting warmer! Puffy vests and blanket scarves are fantastic in theory, but not when you wear them to prevent frost bite. I was excited to break out some peep toes and leave the gloves behind today.

So, I’m a young working girl, and with that comes rent (and all that other adult nonsense). I’ve learned to become bffs with sales; shopping at outlet malls, checking out local resale shops, and saving up for special pieces. I believe you can look your best with any salary though, it’s all about being creative!

My stylish mom got me this silk Burberry scarf for Christmas this year, and I love how versatile it can be. I wore it here for a casual dinner, but I look forward to wearing it with dressier looks in the future. A classic piece like this will never go out of style.

Same with my favorite cream quilted Michael Kors tote. Who cares if it’s 3 years old? I’m not ashamed! It has a nice worn in pocket where my phone lives 😉
