When we started looking for the location to have our Rehearsal Dinner, Brent and I knew we wanted something that was very Charleston. You know, something historic, beautiful, Southern, and classic, where our guest would step in and feel instant Southern Charm. We couldn’t have found a more perfect spot than Merchants Hall.
Merchants Hall is an incredible circa-1856 building with rich history and still features original exposed brick and wood columns. It overlooks Charleston’s historic City Market, and is in one of the most bustling and beautiful areas in downtown Charleston. The historic features that were kept really celebrate the venue’s history, but I also love the beautiful chandeliers that were added, making the space so luxurious.
We fell in love right away and couldn’t wait to book Merchants Hall for our rehearsal dinner!! After discussing the details of the evening, from the drinks to the linens, it was time for me to choose my outfit!
I found 3 fun looks to consider for the big night!
Old Hollywood Glamour
This look just belongs in this space, if you ask me! The glimmering sequins go perfectly with the gorgeous light fixtures, and this fur coat is a cute touch for those cold Charleston winters.
Chic Separates
This look is for those gals out there who like to mix it up and and stand out from the pack! A white pant suit is always in style and can be such a great look for the bride who likes to keep it comfortable while still stylish.
Extra Fancy
Out of the three of these looks, this one is definitely the most me! There are only so many occasions where you can dress like a princess, and your wedding and wedding-related events are definitely one of those times! This dress is absolutely gorgeous!! I love the sheer skirt and the glitter details. It’s one of the most special dresses I’ve ever owned.
Whatever your bride style may be, everything goes with a beautiful venue like Merchants Hall! They’re also amazing for other events where you just need a lovely and classic Charleston space.
