When you first step inside Henrietta’s, you immediately feel the French influence and inspiration. Their website reads “Rooted in Lowcountry bounty and Southern Hospitality, Henrietta’s menu draws influence from around the globe” which was completely evident to me when I perused their French-inspired menu this week.
I have to say, I was just as pleased with the impeccable service as I was the delicious food! The staff and the chefs were so accommodating for this shoot, and every dish and drink and shot was thought out down to the last detail. I really appreciate being around people who love what they do, and the vibrant energy that came flooding from the staff at Henrietta’s made me feel so happy. I returned for lunch today actually, and we were so well taken care of by our server.
What also makes them unique is their features and specials! I love that they do Wine + Dine Wednesday, where their bottles of wine are half off! Also, if a restaurant doesn’t have happy hour, I’m always super disappointed, and Henrietta’s not only has one but it’s a really great one! Check out what else they have going on:
Happy Hour | Monday-Friday 5PM-6:30PM
$6 wines by the glass, $3 rotating draft beers, and half off all small plates.
Live Music | Wednesday – Saturday 5 PM – 8 PM
Modern day crooner, Tim Hockenberry joins us Thursday through Saturday evenings from
5:00PM – 8:00PM.
Complimentary Valet Parking
Wine + Dine Wednesday
Our curated wine list will be half-off on Wednesdays during lunch and dinner.
Pre-Theatre Dining
Our chefs have crafted a specialty 3 course offering for our pre-theatre crowd. Dine with us
Monday through Friday between 5PM and 6PM to enjoy our $45 pre-fixe menu.
Scroll below to see what they prepared for me from their menu and also see more photos of the gorgeous space! To me, ambiance is everything, and this place was absolutely gorgeous.
What to Order:
I had the most difficult time choosing what to order. Everything looked so good! I’m such a fan of French food, and the Southern touches on each dish were so delicious and unexpected. Everything that was brought to us was also gorgeously plated. You can see how much effort and thought chef Michael Tuohy puts into each dish. I couldn’t’ wait to dig in! Here are the details on the items I tried on the menu:
To Start:
-Charcuterie and Cheese: Selection of Artisan Meats and Cheeses
-Shaved Summer Squash Salad: herbs, lemon, extra virgin olive oil, pecorino pepato
-Seasonal Melon: prosciutto americano, Thomasville tomme, Saba
-Pickled Local Shrimp En Escabeshe: picholine olives, house saltines (I’m allergic to shellfish but wanted to show y’all how yummy it looked!)
-The Eastside: gin, cucumber, mint, lime
Main:
-Whole Roasted Chicken for Two: Low Country Panzanella, cheddar biscuit croutons, arugula, grilled peaches, gypsy peppers, cucumbers. (They roast it for you upon order, present it as a whole, then take it back to the kitchen and slice it for you!)
-Wood Grilled Whole Sunburst Farms Trout: sweet corn & Benton’s bacon ragout, celery-parsley salad
-Sweet Corn: tomato & bacon ragout
Dessert:
-Peach Cobbler: local peaches, cream cheese, ginger, bourbon whipped cream, pineapple-
mint
-Grasshopper: vanilla vodka, crème de menthe, white crème de cacao, branca menta, cream
Whether you’re looking for a fun spot to have lunch with your girls, a romantic dinner date, or a fun brunch with friends, Henrietta’s is such a perfect spot with an incredible menu. I’ll definitely be returning again soon!
