As those of you who follow me on Instagram know, I’ve really been picking up golf again over the past year. I actually was pretty good in high school! I won a lot of tournaments and played the #1 spot on my team for 3 years, but after I graduated I completely dropped it for about 6 years. I had been playing since I was really little and had just needed a break from it, but now I’ve come to really appreciate it. It’s fun to have a sport up your sleeve that you can play as an adult! I’m really glad I learned those fundamentals as a kid because now with some practice, I’ve really been able to get my game back.
I really started playing again when I moved home with my parents for 6 months last year because my dad plays (he’s incredibly good!), and it was a fun thing for us to do together. Now that I’m away in Charleston, I’ve been playing a lot with Brent! He never played on a team, but he’s also been playing since he was young and is really good, too.
A few weeks ago, we got to play at the Wild Dunes Links Golf Course and we had such a great time! We had an early tee time so I thought it would be better for us to relax and play that day and to come back with Nicole to get some shots of the course to share with y’all later. So, Nicole and I snapped these on Thursday! I decided to combine my foodie Friday post with this golf post because Wild Dunes also has an amazing restaurant on site called Huey’s Southern Eats that overlooks the course. Check out my photos below to see what we ordered and how beautiful Wild Dunes is!
For those golfers out there, be sure to check out Wild Dunes on your next visit to Charleston. They have two courses, the Harbor Course and the Links Course, and they’re both just gorgeous and definitely worth playing.
