On my second visit to Charleston this summer, my food blogger friend Rachel introduced me to a fun spot that had just opened, Workshop. Workshop calls themselves an “Exploratory Food Court” where they have six rotating kitchens run by a mixture of new and renowned chefs exploring exciting new menu options. This summer, I had gotten some kind of delicious power bowl from a restaurant I don’t remember now, but recently I went back and was totally floored by the garlic noodles from Pink Bellies. I am in love with their Garlic Noodles, so much so that instead of just highlighting a restaurant like I normally do, I wanted to give them their own moment here. (Just look at them, y’all, they deserve it).
For $10, you get this giant bowl of deliciousness (aka egg noodles, pulled pork or chicken, parmesan, Sriracha, and pickled onions), and the option to add a poached egg for $1.50. It’s huge, you’ll definitely be bringing home leftovers, so for the price I’m obsessed! I also love the casual feel of Workshop. You order at the counter and it’s really fast, so it’s a great spot if you’re looking for sit-down restaurant quality food at a fast pace.
What else to order from Pink Bellies: Avocado Fries, Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Animal Style Burger.
