One of my goals I had when I started doing food posts on By, Hilary Rose was to draw attention to fantastic places that aren’t necessarily showing up on every big Charleston travel guide out there. I noticed when I searched for Charleston guides on Pinterest, most of them had the same spots listed as go-tos for visitors to check out, which is crazy to me because there are SO many amazing places here! In a foodie city like Charleston, bad restaurants and bars just can’t survive because the competition is too fierce, so most places are amazing and have something unique to offer.
I think my favorite thing about Kudu Coffee & Craft Beer was how much it reminded me of my home back in Austin. It’s cozy, welcoming, and has the most chill and versatile vibe of any spot I’ve come across so far. It’s the kind of spot where you can grab a yummy pastry to-go on your way to shop on King Street (it’s in an awesome location!), meet your girls for a quick catch-up session over beautiful coffees (did you see my bluebonnet design in those photos?), or grab a beer with friends on a Friday night. They have over 20 taps of draft beer and a considerable wine selection, and their pastries and sandwiches from a few great local spots (Wild Flour Pastry, Normandy Farm Artisan Bakery and Saffron Bakery). They also have $4 mimosas!!
I’ll definitely be returning to Kudu Coffe & Craft Beer soon!
