Jacket: Burberry | Jeans: Joe’s Jeans (here, bought at Nordstrom Rack for $79) | Pumps: Nine West | Cross-body bag: Tory Burch (old, loving the tassels on this beauty) | Lip: MAC | Tee: White House Black Market (old, close)
I’m definitely not against trying out current trends, (they are what makes fashion fun!) but I don’t like spending a bunch of cash on them. My mom taught me that classic pieces you can wear forever are what you should invest in. She’s actually the one I borrowed this gorgeous Burberry jacket from (I wish I could say that it’s mine)! Classic pieces will never leave you with that terrible buyers remorse feeling, like the one you get when you leave a store with $100 worth of items you will only wear once.
I’ve had that feeling many times in the past, but I have learned from my mistakes! I now lean more toward items like these black patent leather pumps and this black tee. I have had them both for years, but very similar pieces are still being sold by the same stores I bought them from. I have plans to save up for a jacket like this one of my own, but that will take some time 😉
Thanks for reading!
