I can hardly believe it, but the wedding has finally happened! After 15 months of planning, Brent and I are officially husband and wife and I couldn’t be happier. After so much time and anticipation, I thought that I would feel sad that my time as a bride had come to an end, but to be honest, I don’t feel that way at all. The wedding was incredible and we both said we couldn’t change a single thing, and now we are entering a new chapter just for us as a married couple with the rest of our lives to look forward to instead of just one big day. It feels so good.
Because I knew we would be short on time for photos with our ceremony being so close to sunset, I thought it was a good idea to get my bridal portraits done ahead of time. That way, on the big day we were able to focus on photos with the two of us together and our family instead of photos of just me. Bridal portraits are more of a Southern/old-school traditional thing I think, because when I mentioned doing them on Instagram I had a lot of people reach out saying they had never heard of such a thing. I loved the idea also because I got to try out my hair and makeup with the dress before the big day!
This post is photo-heavy, so get ready! I was so excited about these bridal portraits I couldn’t help but post so many! I had my friend Nicole Mickle do them, of course, because we have been working with for two years and I adore her photos. She’s incredibly talented and such a sweet soul. She also makes me feel comfortable while also daring me to do more fun and unique shots. I can’t wait to see the photos from the actual wedding that she and her husband took for us!
At the end of the post, I’m also crediting the ones responsible for helping me create this wedding look!
Enjoy!!
