There’s a new kid on the block in Charleston, and it has quickly become one of my favorites spots for a romantic date night or a fun night out with friends. Located on King Street, a hot spot downtown for restaurants and bars, Félix Cocktails et Cuisine is a French dream come true for specialty cocktail lovers and foodie enthusiasts alike. After taking a group of friends there for the opening, I knew I would be back again many times. If the gorgeous and cozy atmosphere wasn’t enough (the space transforms after dark with cozy candlelight), the food absolutely gets me every time. It’s mostly “small” plates to share, but there are filling options like the Raclette burger and petit steak frites if you feel like ordering just one plate for yourself. Out of the cocktails I have tried, I have to say the Temps de Fête is my favorite (maybe because this Texan is a sucker for a great tequila drink).
I decided that for a romantic date here at Félix, I should choose an outfit from a local boutique to support my new city, and I stumbled upon this unique toffee-colored maxi dress at Maris Dehart. These statement tassel earrings also create quite a buzz every time I wear them! I also have them in green and gold, and I love that they’re made by a local designer, Hart Hagerty.
So, if you’re a local or going to be visiting Charleston sometime soon, I definitely recommend you check out Félix Cocktails et Cuisine. They’re open daily from 4pm-late, so they’re great for dinner or a late night cocktail to finish the evening.
