I have been in Charleston for less than 3 weeks, but obviously I’ve put finding great restaurants on the top of my priority list. I’m a huge fan of brunch *basic* and even though I’m allergic to shellfish, I had to find the best seafood brunch for y’all. I mean, it’s Charleston, and their seafood is killer! So, my new blogger friend (Jaime) and I decided to set up this shoot to show you our favorite spot.
Yes, I’m talking about The Darling Oyster Bar. If you’re familiar with Charleston at all, you’ve definitely heard of the Darling. Not only is their food delicious, but it’s also one of the most Instagrammable foodie spots in the Holy City. The restaurant itself is adorable, with green leather booths, a fabulous bar, and the perfect marble raw bar to set your food on for a photo. It’s the ultimate spot to snap a pic. Plus, their food is also beautiful. There’s something about oysters that are just so pretty, and they make these unbelievable Bloody Mary’s on Sundays that speak for themselves. I wanted to try them SO badly! Being allergic to shellfish in a town like Charleston is seriously such a bummer.
For some reason, I had thought that the Darling was going to be pretty pricey just based on how nice it looked in the photos I had seen, but it’s actually very reasonable! Brunch plates range from $8-$22 and the portions are great. I was definitely pleasantly surprised by the prices!
So, if you’re in Charleston, I recommend you stop by the Darling for a fab seafood brunch! Be sure to check my Instagram over the next month because I’m going to be teaming up with some more local restaurants and shops for another CHS giveaway, and the Darling is going to be included!
