Oh, what a night!
On Saturday, February 20, the Blanton Museum of Art hosted it’s Art on the Edge fundraising party. This black-tie party used to be the after-party for the biannual Gala, but this year, for the first time, the party stood on it’s own and it was a total success! Austin tastemakers, young professionals, community leaders, and people who were just down to party, all joined together for a fun night to celebrate and support art.
I was lucky enough to be able to bring Mike, my roomie, Cynthia, and her boyfriend, Tracy. (Cynthia are both wearing dresses from Rent the Runway)! I only had to work for about an hour checking people in, then I got to enjoy the party. Memphis Train Revue had the whole place dancing all night and specialty drinks by Tito’s Handmade Vodka were pouring. The Blanton’s new exhibition, Come as You Are: Art of the 1990s had just opened as well, so most attendees were seeing it for the first time. If you live in Austin, you definitely need to come check it out! It’s such a fun exhibition, especially since I’m a 90’s kid!
