Last weekend, Brent and I took our first getaway together since our honeymoon, and it was such a fun and relaxing trip. Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island invited us to stay with them for a weekend to experience everything they had to offer just a short 2 hour trip from our home in Charleston, so of course we jumped at the chance! I had already heard such great things about the resort, and I knew that Brent and I would enjoy a quiet weekend there just the two of us.
We arrived late on Friday night, so we woke up early on Saturday to get the day started with breakfast at Heyward’s Dining on-site. They have an awesome breakfast buffet and you can bet we took full advantage! Everything was so fresh and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. For dinner that night, we also returned to Hayward’s and were equally as impressed by the menu! I had a delicious fried goat cheese and arugula salad with a side of crispy brussel sprouts and Brent had their chicken and artichoke penne pasta. It was so yummy!!
The resort property is absolutely gorgeous. They have the nicest pool with a cabana restaurant, a huge lake with bridges and a huge waterside pavilion where they host weddings, and beach access right on property! One thing Charleston is definitely missing are beachside hotels, so it was such a treat to walk right out to the beach. Everything was so picturesque and charming.
We were also go excited to get massages in their Arum Spa. We both did their 50 minute Signature Massage and it was life changing! They use a combination of classic Swedish and therapeutic modalities, and our massage therapists were so wonderful. After our massages, we were treated to a warm foot soak and heated neck wrap while we sipped on lavender champagne. We left feeling so rejuvenated!
Overall, our stay at Sonesta Hilton Head Island was so amazing! We loved every second of our time there and we can’t wait to come back!
