Shorts: ASOS | Tee: J.Crew (similar) | Sneaks: Converse | Watch: Kate Spade
This photoshoot was completely taken over by mosquitos! Yesterday was definitely the most disgusting day I’ve experienced this summer. I know I always complain about the rain, but I have decided that after yesterday, I would much rather have a full-on rain storm than a muggy, drizzly, gross, humid day. Can’t a girl just casually ride her bike for some photos without being covered in sweat or attacked by bloodsucking insects? I don’t think that’s too much to ask, especially when the girl is wearing her new favorite shorts and just wants to ride around on a vintage bike and be all cute and stuff.
One issue I’ve been facing lately is the question of short length. I’m turning 25 in a few months, and I have been feeling that maybe I need to retire my really short shorts from college and invest in some with slightly longer hemlines. (I’m taking 5″ instead of 3″, nothing crazy). I ended up finding these adorable ASOS and I have been wearing them non-stop since they came in the mail. They are just slightly longer than what I normally wear, but still shorty shorts, I’m still in my twenties, after all!
Speaking of dressing for your age, are converse, like, a high school thing? I was wearing them in a liquor store with my mom (with jeans and a tee, nothing weird) and this lady joked and said “I remember getting liquor with my mom in high school.” She was totally being SO rude for no reason, not the point, but did I really look like I was in high school? I had a pair of red high tops in seventh grade, but I thought that now they pretty much bridged all age gaps. Huh… Something to ponder.
Thanks for reading!

No, girl! Converse are for all types, ages, outfits (I’ve seen some of the men’s fashion bloggers wear them with suits– yum!) Keep on, keeping’ on! 😉
