This week’s Foodie Friday post is a really special one, because I am showcasing one of the oldest and most celebrated restaurants in Charleston, 82 Queen.
As soon as you walk into the door of 82 Queen, you immediately feel the welcoming vibes of the space. Cozied in the Charleston French Quarter, 82 Queen is made up of 3 historic buildings and a courtyard (you MUST scroll below to see how cute the chairs are!) that create such a warm and homey atmosphere. You’re also greeted by the nicest staff members! Family and Southern hospitality are what keep low country locals coming back again and again, in addition to the incredible cuisine.
The food, of course, is what brought me by 82 Queen! I knew they had an amazing dinner selection, but I had heard such great things about their lunch that I thought I’d give it a try. From what I’ve heard around town, the She Crab Soup is their most famous dish (I’m allergic to crab so I couldn’t try, but I had to order to get some photos to show y’all!) and I also ordered the Barbecue Shrimp & Grits, the Southern Pickin’s Starter, and the Queen Street Burger with a side of Fried Okra.
Scroll below to see photos of each dish I ordered, as well as a few delicious cocktails! Thanks for having me, 82 Queen!
