As someone who primarily works from home, finding a great coffee shop is essential! I get so much more work done when I’m out of my house, and I have had a great time trying out all the different spots in Charleston since I moved here! I thought I would round up the coffee shops I’ve tried out and share with y’all my favorites (in random order).
#1 Brown Fox Coffee Co.
Why it’s great: The location! In Old Village Mount Pleasant, it has the most gorgeous crepe myrtle trees and is walking distance from some gorgeous historic neighborhoods.
#2 Vintage Coffee & Cafe
What to order: The matcha latte and prosciutto toast.
#3 Carmella’s Cafe and Dessert Bar
What to order: The cannoli cake and the chai tea latte.
#4 Millers All Day
Why it’s unique: Grab coffee to go at the bar or take a seat for breakfast served all day.
#5 Collective Coffee Co.
Why it’s great: With ample seating and electric plugs, it’s my favorite place to work!
#6 Second State Coffee (Formerly Black Tap)
What to order: A Wildflour Bakery spinach and fig quiche and iced coffee.
#7 Kudu Coffee and Craft Beer
Why it’s unique: Grab a pastry, coffee, or a craft beer! I personally love their croissants.
#8 The Daily
What to order: The smoked salmon toast and a cold brew coffee.
#9 Charleston Coffee Exchange
Why it’s great: Located in the West Ashley neighborhood, it’s got a more peaceful and quiet feel. You can also purchase their huge selection of coffee blends!
#10 Muddy Waters Coffee Bar
What to order: The iced turmeric matcha latte and an apple turnover.
#11 Revelator Coffee
Why it’s great: Located on King Street, stop by and grab coffee to go while you shop.
#12 The Rise Coffee Bar
Why it’s great: It’s adorable and cozy and 100% Instagramable.
#13 The Harbinger Cafe and Bakery
What to order: A chocolate chip cookie the size of your face and a cardi-c latte.
#14 Browns Court Bakery
What to order: a sticky bun and classic Americano.
#15 Mercantile and Mash
Why it’s great: Plenty of parking, a combo of grab-and-go food as well as hot and fresh dishes, and a great atmosphere for first dates or meetings.
